MISSION STATEMENT
The Valhalla Theatre Arts Department is dedicated to the acquisition of performance and technical theatre skills through standards-based curriculum, hands-on projects and production and performance experiences.
VTAD is a program of exploration for the beginning level theatre student.  Students acquire the foundational knowledge of a theatre performer or technician.  Most importantly, students learn valuable skills in public speaking, self-responsibility, and working with a team.
VTAD gives advanced level students real-world experience in acting and technical theatre as training for professional theatrical careers.  Course curricula are created with input from working theatre professionals to ensure up-to-date practices are taught.  Critical workplace skills are emphasized including: punctuality, responsibility, teamwork, critical thinking and creativity.
VTAD is committed to giving the students theatrical experience in a professional atmosphere by stressing self-responsibility, commitment, and dedication.
We do not do good high school theatre; We do excellent theatre with young adults.
